British Wheelchair Bowls Association
British Wheelchair Bowls Association holds
various training weekends throughout the year for our members and for people
who are interested in joining our club or would like to try out bowls from
the buggy. At these weekends our Great Britain Coach and
Umpire are always at hand to help you develop and improve your game of
bowls. We hold club competitions during the weekend at certain dates
of the year for all bowlers, irrespective of there abilities in bowling, and
we encourage you to enjoy your experience while your with us.
(please refer to the calendar)
We have two friendly fixtures for 2008. One is at Stamford Indoor Bowls Club, which is a new venue in Lincoln and another is at Worthing Pavilion Bowls Club in Worthing. We also have our annual friendly with Bantham and Ongar Bowls Club outside. This club is an artificial service which is ideal for all types of players. These events are very important to the BWBA, as they place us in league with other bowls clubs and also provide valuable funding. They are a 4 hour game, normally consisting of 4 bowlers covering between 4 to 6 rinks dependent. There normally is a meal after the match with a raffle.
If you are interested in taking part in these friendlies please contact Ian Blackmore.
