Over recent years, Summers have become increasingly full of music festivals – Glastonbury, Reading, V, etc but early Summer is the time for bowls festivals; notably at Scarborough and at Bodwellyan Castle, North Wales. These events are popular with wheelchair bowlers.

MATCHPLAY SINGLES IS JUST PERFECT FOR THE POWELLS
This year’s end-of-season BWBA MatchPlay Singles Championship drew players from far afield and included the welcome return of Harry Haydock (Belfast IBC) from Northern Ireland.

MATCH REPORT BWBA v Worthing Pavilion BC 2010
This is a popular annual fixture in the BWBA’s calendar and there was a first for this year’s match. In addition to three BWBA rinks there were three rinks from the local group of visually impaired bowler, Worthing Visually Impaired Bowlers Club.
